National Parks Tour - OK

Washita Battlefield National Historic Site

The ride up to Oklahoma was very good with great weather.  Temperatures were in the low 60s until I crossed the Red River.  Wind was out of the west with very gusty conditions.  The dust was blowing so hard it reduced visibility down to about a half mile at some points along the route.  By the time I reached the Washita NHS the temperature had dropped to mid 40s with sleet ahead of a cold front just a few miles to the northwest.  I secured my NPT Passport stamp and headed south to Lubbock to RON (Remain Over Night).  Spotwalla Map
